Montgomery Recreation River Trip
Montgomery Recreation Department featured four river trips. Two overnight trips as well as two day trips. Getting the students out on the Missisquoi River allows them to make a better connection and understanding and importance of the quality of water and their environment. The kids were able to practice boat rescue and safety, fire building, cooking over an open fire and received first aid training.

They were taught about "Leave No Trace" to keep the environment and our rivers clean. We are excited to be able to fund a "Leave No Trace" Workshop in 2020. The kids had a wonderful time learning about the river and many useful skills along the way. We look forward to have anyone of them back for future trips.
