About The Event
Join Upper Missisquoi and Trout Rivers Wild & Scenic Committee and Orleans County Forester Jared Nunery for a brand new event! This will be an evening of walking through nature, making observations of what is around us, and looking for American woodcocks. Woodcocks, sometimes known as timberdoodles are a small shorebird species often found in Eastern North America. Woodcocks are masters of camouflage so come ready to look and learn! The main focus of this event is to show the type of habitat to look for, and introduce folks to the woodcock habitat and spring behavior, so that you can then go out on your own to find woodcock!
The location of this event is in Jay at Missisquoi River Basin Association's nursery in Jay. Parking can be done at the Jay Town Office. Please follow the UMATR event signs to guide you to the property. Wear long pants …
