March 19th - Covered Bridges in Montgomery with Scott Perry
In the final segment of the 2026 online speaker series, historian Scott Perry will be presenting on the history of covered bridges in Montgomery. Scott belongs to the Montgomery Historical Society. The Montgomery Historical Society was formed in 1973 in a grass roots effort to save the Town’s former Episcopal Church from demolition. The Mission of the Historical Society is to enhance the Town of Montgomery and the knowledge of its history by preserving the past, exploring the present, and preparing for the future. The Society published a Town history in 1976 and an updated second edition in 1991. A third edition was published in 2014, adding over 100 pages of new material. When UMATR was designated as wild and scenic in 2014, Scott helped us write our historical Outstandingly Remarkable Value (ORV) on Montgomery. We can't wait to se…
